Diet!!!


Brian suggested that we as a couple make a goal to lose a few pounds by summer - I laughed hysterically and told him that he must have me confused with his other girlfriend.

My problem with the word diet is that the first three letters are DIE. No thank you, I'm a happy chunky monkey and I don't mind his bear huggable self either. I went on to tell him though that he should feel free to do whatever he likes, but I will NOT be giving up any foods that currently bring me pleasure. I am open to us going out dancing though!! I can see my feet, touch my toes, run up and down stairs without being out of breath - and I gave up my Victoria's Secret modeling contract years ago - no diets for me!

Hunter, I agree wholeheartedly (as my doctor will attest to) with you about the diet thing. While I won't overdo the junk food, I am not going to totally deny myself. Yesterday I read an article in one of the women's magazines (Glamour, Cosmo, I forget) where they were saying that 87% of women were starting their diets for spring. The author's theory was that this is because it coincides with Lent, which is probably true, but I don't know anyone at all who diets like that and is so concerned with their weight. Anyhoo, that is where the statement stemmed from. Not me, and I cannot stress that enough.
