I know! It is, isn't it? I was having so much fun yesterday seeing what was going on in everyone else's games and reading all of the comments everyone has to make on each other's adventures. That's the best part of it by far. - Quote :

Me too. I can't wait to see how they do starting out sleeping on recliners and watching them struggle as they clean up the warehouse and make it into a real home for the family. It's going to be fun to see.

| I think it will be fun to play out and see too - but I don't think our Simmies are going to be enjoying themselves too much anytime soon. I'll have to make sure they develop together socially and integrate play into their lives so that they're not all work and no play. I don't want us crumpled on the floor, cracking up, headed for the loony bin. I really don't. | |

| Ulli wakes up to a fresh new day and wanting to clean up a little. Sugah orders Chinese for breakfast as they're all starving. Ari is eagerly awaiting the food, since they only had pizza the night before. Tearing into her Moo Shoo Chicken, Ari ignores Em's pleas to do something about their living situation. Ever the optimist, Sugah says, "Em - it will be alright. Ari has a job now and we'll be getting paid tomorrow night. "No offense," Says Em, "but isn't her salary only $200?" They finish eating and decide to blow off some steam. Sugah and Ulli play catch out front. Elle decides to take advantage of the weather and catch some lightning bugs. Deciding it looks like fun, Em joins in. Ari joins Ulli and Sugah for some fun by engaging them in a game of Hacky Sack. Hunter can not resist and joins in. And so goes their evening, blowing off steam and enjoying each other. It's time to sleep and having worn themselves out - they manage to, even in those awful reclining chairs. But Hunter, a night owl by nature, stays up. Not wanting to show the others she's also worried about their living situation, she saves the emotion for the wee hours of the morning. Tonight, she will find a job - any job. In the morning, she mails off her resume for a position in the Entertainment Field. They all engage in some breakfast pizza. And Ari heads off for her first day as a Gamer. Em and Ulli read from a little book rack that Em got that morning. She traded in a barrel at the little thrift store down the street and was able to get the book rack. It's as good as gold because they all like reading and know there is enough of a variety of books in the rack to develop some skills. Sugah is now determined to find a job, and she does in the Education field. It's perfect for her and for Ulli who also takes another job they have in the field. In a bit of a better mood, Em engages Hunter in a pillow fight. Sugah, happy about finding a job decides to go use her energy on something more productive. "This place is filthy," she says to herself while scrubbing the bathroom. Em and Hunter continue their play which they're enjoying a bit too much. "Yo - do you think you guys can do something besides act like children?" Elle asks as she walks by them. "Nope," they both giggle in unison. They just laugh and keep playing. "I'm going to find a job now because I refuse to continue living worse than barn yard animals," Elle says with her back turned to the juveniles. Later that night Ari returns from work....... With a beat up old refrigerator stocked with meal replacing drinks and a trash can. And..... An old, but comfy sofa - that she gets to sleep on. | |

| This is soooo awesome, Hunter! I'm really enjoying your story! It cracked me up when Em and V kept playing after Elle scolded them. And when Em said Ari's salary is only $200.
I know they're going to make it! And it's ever so much fun watching them struggle. Great work, V!

| Yes Ulli, Pizza for breakfast. I'm so glad you guys like where the Roomies are going in this adventure. It's been so much fun. I actually can not wait though to build up some money so they can actually have one livable room. That place is awful. | |

| I love it! First of all, which EP allows Chinese food to be delivered? Waaay cool! I can order groceries and pizza, but that's it. Em sure as hell isn't happy about our living arrangements, is she? Her facial expressions are crackin' me up! lol I find it amusing that Sugah is the optimistic one in your game, Lady H. In real life, she's a cranky, cynical old buzzard, let me tell ya. - Quote :

"Nope," they both giggle in unison. HILARIOUS! Ulli, pizza for breakfast ROCKS! I LOVE leftover cold pizza for breakfast. YUM! All the pics where we're cuttin' Zzzzs on the recliner are great, Hunter. I'm so excited that you have Sugah in Education and Em has Sugah in Paranormal. I do not have those careers in my game and am very interested to learn more about them and see Sugah progress through both fields. :D Special thanks to Ari for working hard to earn enough to purchase her sisters a beat up old fridge and sofa. Progress is definitely being made, if only on $200 a day! This was all so much fun, Hunter. Thank you for sharing your screenshots with us. I can't wait to see what's next. It is going to be great watching the La Femme gals fix up the place, slowly but surely.

| Em's facial expressions are the best. I'm so very happy that everyone is enjoying the way I decided to go with our Roomies. It's so much more fun than I imagined that once I start playing, it's hard to pull myself away. Like you guys - I too can't wait for them to get the place fixed up, but I really want to "keep it real." The only cheat at this point I'm allowing myself is the No Aging, because that place needs a lot more than what is allotted in a Sim's life to fix up. Ulli, I have to admit that you came - this close to dying from starvation the other day (before Ari bought our frige). The Pizza delivery guy arrived just in time. I was totally freaking out thinking "What am I gonna do?!!" - "What if I kill Ulli??" Yes, there situation definitely has to improve. | |

| I'm glad Em is finally coming around and having fun with her sisters. She's keeping a realistic mind about their situation, isn't she? I like the shot where Hunter is sitting up reading the paper while all of her sisters are asleep. She looks like she's keeping a look out while they're asleep. Is our neighborhood so bad that we have to sleep in shifts? Yeah, for Ari, earning some money and getting us a fridge! She deserves to be the one to sleep on the sofa. She earned it. I'm glad Ulli didn't die of starvation. That would have been horrible. I've turned off aging in our siblings' household. I think I wouldn't be afraid to cheat to save one of our lives if it came to that. Hopefully it doesn't! | |

| When we last left our roomies, they were living in squalor. They still are! But a few things have changed. They're all working. Ulli and Sugah work in education. Em works in Journalism. Hunter is finding her way in the Entertainment industry. Ari is loving working in Gaming and Elle is getting by in the Business field. I found this hilarious as Em is the neat, quiet one. She is the first to raid the refrigerator. I'm guessing they're all tired of Pizza and Chinese take out and Instant Meals. There's a lot of bonding going on between the siblings, which I just love. The siblings also spend a lot of time reading to build skills. They're all aware to achieve any of their goals, they must succeed in their careers. Which I expect Sugah to do, since she's always in a good mood upon returning from work. Hunter spends a lot of time on the roof overlooking the neighborhood. They'd bought this worn down warehouse in the warehouse district by the docks for two reasons. It was affordable and supposedly the neighborhood was up and coming. So far, they're the only ones in the hood. Ulli is always checking out the rest of the house. And the grounds figuring out how to make the space not only livable, but beautiful. Elle has made a friend. The neighborhood stray, Kobe. They spend a lot of time together. And on one rainy night, Elle decides to adopt her. At first everyone isn't happy about it. "We can't even afford furniture and we take on another mouth to feed." Ari moans. Hunter says nothing, but agrees. Em makes a fast friend. But soon, like everyone else - Ari comes around. ~~~~~ Some time later, the Roomies finally come up with a floor plan for their home. The room they're currently living in, will be the family room. A few of the things you see on the floorplan don't even exist yet. The second and third floor plans will pretty much be the same. Ulli came up with the idea to make the common areas on the south side of the house where the primary views will one day be. Of course, everyone wanted pool and garden side rooms, but when it was realized that six bedrooms wouldn't all fit on that side of the house, they all compromised and decided to move the bedrooms to the north side of the house. They also decided to leave the middle archway and save the integrity of the structure. It will be an exposed brick main hall and connector between the common areas and the more private living areas of the house, as well as serve as the main entry. This space is really shown well here. Obviously there is a lot more work to do. So with very hard work and selling things in the house that were salvageable - like 3 elevators that netted them $3300 - they were able to paint their living area (soon to be family room), soon to be kitchen and soon to be dining room. They were also able to put in really beautiful flooring. Obviously there is still work to be done. That hole in the front wall will need to be addressed and they'll all be happy to be rid of their dirty, filthy plumbing. But it's amazing what a little paint will do. Everyone's happier and more comfortable. Elle enjoys time with Kobe before bed. | |

| I like that Sugah is in Education. Like with the Paranormal career, I don't know much about it and am very interested to see the progression. I also love the bonding between sisters. Way cool! It's funny Ulli should be the one in your game to "always be checking the house out". In my game, any new thing that's purchased, she's the first one to go and check it out always. It's so sweet the way Elle has befriended and adopted a cat for the sisters. It'll be neat to see the La Femme sisters' floor plan come to fruition, as they earn more money and continue the remodeling. I like the way you have it laid out, Hunter. In the meantime, I think I see some of my wallpaper and I thank you for using it in your game. It IS amazing what a little paint will do! I totally enjoyed your screenshots, as always. With all the holiday and family stuff going on lately, I haven't been able to load up my game, except to take pics of my recolors. I'm hoping to fire it up once things slow down here ... IF they do this holiday season! Thank you for sharing! | |

| I was thinking a pet is probably the last thing they need with their financial situation, but he's a very cute addition to the family. They are really thinking ahead with their floor plans. I can't believe they're already planning things like rec rooms and pool side views, but it's good they have those dreams to get them through the tough times. Can't wait to see how they get along as they work their way to building a nice home for themselves! | |

| I'm glad everyone seems to approve so far.
I really had no intention of adding a pet, especially not that early in the adventure - but Elle befriended Kobe. Every night almost when she'd come home her and that cat would bond, and then one night it started raining and it occurred to me that Elle should adopt him. I mean I don't think Elle or any of us would have left a living creature out in the rain that we'd befriended.
In my next post I'll have to go more into the careers and the skills progress of our Simmies. It interesting who's progressed how far in what. Off the top of my head - I know that Sugah has 4 Cooking skill points and that one of her wants is to enter a food contest. I will post more about those things next time.
I had to go ahead and do the floor plan for myself Em - because playing the house like that has been a challenge. I didn't want to start buying random furniture without having any idea where any of the rooms would be or anything. In real life I have a Brady Bunch budget, but Bill Gates dreams as far as real estate goes - so I implemented those dreams into our Roomies adventure. I think I've already played like 30 days (I do have aging turned off) and they're really coming along.
I know it will be awhile for this home to be a real home though. I made up in my mind that from now on that they're going to buy quality pieces when they buy - so it will be a slow going process. Ari in the game wants to get a Toy making bench - and that could be another source of income. I plan on implementing pottery as well because I know from another game I've played, Sims can make a lot doing pottery.
It's too much fun to play and I find when I get the chance to - I have to tear myself away. I played one night until almost 4:00 in the morning like a psycho because I couldn't quit.

Oh wow, I'm impressed. I've only played 6 days so far. My game playing is pretty slow. I think adopting a stray cat in our warehouse neighborhood makes a lot of sense, actually. That's sweet how Elle and Kobe bonded so naturally.
