| I can't wait to play. It will be so different from my Model hood because I've spoiled them all with mansions. I feel they've paid their dues working for/at Basic - so they can have those homes. Us 6 on the other hand - there's gonna be some lean times Ladies!! I will not use any cheats for us either. That should make it interesting. I have no idea what I'll dress myself - but you guys know I change my Sim's clothes everyday - so maybe we should include something about our personal style too. Nothing too elaborate - but maybe a statement. Like I would say - Day - Elegant Casual, Night - Comfy Casual. Something like that. Now I don't expect you guys to change the clothes everyday - but I can not in my game play a Sim wearing the same clothes. Do you know I almost change their hair and/or make-up everyday too? Yes.....I am crazy. Em - I'm gonna take that quiz this weekend - the results should be interesting. Okay - I'm off. Can't wait. I know this will be so much fun with this bunch. | |

| I am most definitely in. The first week of December sounds great - as I've asked for a new game for Christmas and I'm guessing I'll be addicted to it immediately - so this will give me a few weeks to really sink into this challenge. I don't plan on using money cheats, but I have a mod installed that allows sims to get promotions without earning the required friends - as I absolutely loathe making friends in this game. I think I'd have more fun shoving toothpicks under my fingernails, honestly. Also, I have the SimBlender, which is useful for many things - but I'll be using it to get everyone into their preferred jobtrack - university careers are now available without an education. I have ACR, but I'll adjust the settings so all of us aren't running around having sex with the partners of our choice - unless you want to!! Personally, I wouldn't mind, but I realize it may not be for everyone LOL Even with the mod installed - sims more or less choose 1 partner that they prefer - they don't just become all slutty and start doing half the neighborhood. I'll get the hobby adjuster, too - so I can set everyone's preferred hobbies - to make it a bit more realistic. For me: Name: Ari Astrological Sign - Picses Aspiration - Family (secondary for those who have FT - Pleasure) Turn ons - Black hair/Logical Turn off - Stink Hobby - Games Preferred Occupation - Gamer or Science Preferred Hobby - Games or Film & Literature Gender Preference - very male - though I'm not opposed to elves, vampires, werewolves, warlocks, or aliens - as long as they're good looking - no icky Maxis sims - yuck. I think I covered everything. I'll start house/wardrobe shopping and getting SimAri in order - she needs some tweaking from the original version. I'm looking forward to this. | |

| The link worked for me. I'm not sure why it didn't work for you. If you want I could copy and paste the questions here and then fill them in for you if it still doesn't work. http://www.personalitylab.org/tests/bfi_sims.htm Personally, I don't think my playful score should be that hight, I'm pretty serious, really. I think it counted being creative as being playful or something. Judging by the forum games, if my playful score is 8, Elle and Hunter's should probably be like 12. Personal style is a good idea. I was thinking I'd like to know that for interior decorating, but it would be good to know for clothing too. I rarely change my sims' clothing. So pick something you like to be packaged in. Your simself might be wearing it for a long time. It would be good to know what everyone's feelings about ACR is too. I'm a one guy type of girl, but if ACR makes my sim behave otherwise, I won't mind. It might be kind of funny as long as she's not out woohooing the whole town or like Ari said, icky Maxis sims. Ari, what's the mod that allows you to get promotions without making friends, I might need to use that one. Doesn't Sim Blender let you change a sim's hobby or am I wrong about that? Here are my stats: Name: Emily or just Em Astrological Sign - Capricorn Personality Points - Neat - 7, Outgoing - 1, Active - 2, Playful - 6, Nice - 9 (I tried to get as close to my quiz score as possible while staying within my sign) Aspiration - Knowledge Secondary Aspiration - Pleasure, Family, or Wealth (I'm not sure which I'd pick for myself, but I know I am definitely not Popularity or Romance ) Turn ons - Logical / Creative Turn off - Red Hair Preferred Occupation - Science, Artist, Natural Scientist, Adventurer, Journalism, Education, or Intelligence Preferred Hobby - Nature, Film and Lit, or Arts and Crafts Gender Preference - Male (preferably human) Clothing Style - Casual (but I'm cool with pretty much anything that looks good on my sim)

| Hey that's pretty cool. This is what I got:
Neat - 4 Outgoing - 2 Active - 2 Playful - 5 Nice - 6
I'll have to throw these on a sim to see what the astrological sign turns out to be. I think it's fairly accurate.

I agree. I know interest doesn't decrease on its own once set, but it increases when you perform tasks related to it, I think. So, when we pick our hobbies, I think that will straighten itself out. - Em wrote:

When I did this quiz, I got the following: Neat (7), Outgoing (4), Active (4), Playful (6), Nice (5). I haven't attached it to a sim yet. Initially when I clicked the first link it did not work, but when I tried it later, it did. The second link always worked. - Hunter wrote:

I feel they've paid their dues working for/at Basic - so they can have those homes. The way I play a family usually depends on the story that comes to my mind while I am creating them (unless it's a challenge). If I get an idea they are going to be rich, then I will cheat them to financial independence. If I decide they will have modest means, then I start them accordingly. I was so glad when they made the money cheat that allowed you to control exactly how many simoleons a family can have. I got tired of either motherlode or kaching when I needed maybe $15,000 or so. I am not sure which direction I will go with us, except that I will not use cheats. I will have to use my ingenuity . Poor us ! - Em wrote:

I think I channel all my playfulness on the forum and with my daughters! I think my quiz is a bit off, though, since everyone I know is always cautioning me about being way too nice. - Hunter wrote:

| Here you go, ladies. No Friends Needed For Careers It's the 8th one down the list. This site is awesome - there are so many useful things to be found. Em - yes, it would appear the Sim Blender can change hobbies, too. And SO much more!! As far as I'll go to change clothes regularly is one outfit per season. I'm really kind of lazy, and don't change them at all. But in the spirit of fun, suitable clothing for each season will be a must. | |

That's a good idea, Elle. Even without Seasons it would be good to decide if we want to start out in spring/summer or winter/fall clothing. I've found a sleeveless outfit and a sweater outfit I'd like. But it would be kind of weird for some of us to be wearing shorts and other in heavy sweaters, regardless of whether or not we have seasons. Any preference on which season we should start with?

| Very cute sim, Ari! Since your simself (or simelfself) is wearing a sweater outfit, I think I'll go with the sweater outfit I found for my simself too. We can still start with spring, that sounds good to me if everyone else agrees. I forgot to comment, I know UlliSim would require a lot of green around. Is anyone terribly opposed to any certain colors, say pink, for example? And I updated my "gender preference" to add perferably human. I wouldn't have ever thought to clarify that. | |

| I owe a bunch of details but I had to respond to a few things. Ari, your Sim Elf Self is awfully pretty..........but I don't know how I feel about rooming with other........ species. I'm kidding - but I'm with Em - I will only date Human Sims! And Em - I'm thinking at least one of us won't mind wearing pink! Maybe we could each provide or provide links to 1 outfit for each season? Because I know I wear pink - but you'll never see me in ruffles. Maybe we should put together a questionaire, fact sheet kind of thing that answers ALL QUESTIONS about our Sims Selves and start a new thread for it - so each of us has our own fact/info sheet that we can all refer to???? Does that make it too hard? I think it will make it easier. | |

| I think the questionnaire idea sounds fun and may be helpful for quick reference. As far as clothing for me goes, I don't really care. I'm not going to get all bent out of shape if I don't like someone else's personal taste. It's a game - have fun. Dress me goth, dress me like a princess, dress me like a ho, hell you can even put me in a clown outfit, I don't care. All colors are fine as long as it looks ok and you like it ;) Part of the fun for me is to see what everyone else chooses for me to wear. I wouldn't want to look the same in everyone else's game, anyway. Having said that, Liana Sims is a great place to shop. I like most things there. | |

I would prefer not to be dressed like a ho though. But if anyone did dress my simself that way, I would totally just laugh about it. I'm laughing just thinking about it. I also wouldn't be upset if my simself dated a non-human sim either. I'd just prefer a regular human sim, but if a supernatural type of sim turns out to be my sim's soul mate in someone's game, I really wouldn't be bothered by it. A questionaire thread sounds like a good idea. If someone wants to start it and organize it I'll copy my info there. I was thinking it would be handy to have our download links in the same post as our information, so it would be easier to find. I think I actually downloaded the outfits I was thinking of dressing my simself in from Liana sims!

I don't know, these words may come back to bite you in the butt ! Seriously, though, I am curious to see what others will do with my self-sim. I am not particular about that. If your self-sim is too close to your actual persona it takes away some of the fun, at least in my opinion. - Em wrote:

| I'm way behind. Gonna have to catch up in this thread in bits and pieces, as I promised Snacky I'd make meatball sandwiches & a cucumber salad tonight. We're about to watch "Star Trek", after I get the meatballs & sauce simmering.
Ari, your Simself is GORGEOUS! I love her ensemble, too.
I took the Personality Test. I got:
6 - Neat 6 - Outgoing 6 - Active 5 - Playful 5 - Nice
I would say it's fairly accurate, actually. I'm pretty average across the board, for the most part. I'm thinking that might actually be a Cancer in game, but would have to put the points in to check.
Here's my info:
Name: Sugah Astrological Sign - Cancer Personality Points - Neat - 6, Outgoing - 6, Active - 5, Playful - 5, Nice - 5 (Let me double check that to make sure I'm a Cancer in game, k?) Aspiration - Family Secondary Aspiration - Knowledge Turn ons - Employed & Dark Hair (you pick - brown or black) Turn off - Unemployed Preferred Occupation - Paranormal (that one sounds like fun!), Education, Gamer or Intelligence (you pick!) Preferred Hobby - Film and Literature Gender Preference - Male (preferably human) Clothing Style - Casual & Comfy ... I like aqua, coral, orange-red, cinnamon & caramel on me best ... nothing too dressy or fancy and I can't wear heals in real life ... horrible ankles! I don't wear navy, gray, burgundy, pink or any other summer/winter shades. I am a definite "spring" through and through.
I don't have Seasons, but I'll go with starting the game in Spring, so we're all dressed accordingly.
I'm definitely a one man kinda woman, not into real pale skin or aliens.
I've probably left out something. If I have, let me know!

| LOL!! I think it's funny that everyone feels that they have to specify 'human only' for preferred love interests. And that's perfectly fine by me - because that leaves more cute elves in my game just for me! As far as astrological signs go, though, the game insists that you use all the given personality points, so unless we all go in and boolprop everyone's personalities, we're limited to using what the game provides. So, just to keep things simple, the Pisces - the way the game has it, will be fine for me - it doesn't have to be perfect. Can we start yet? I'm really eager to get going. I still need to house shop, though. I'm not into building/decorating, so unless I find something suitable, you guys are looking at very simple rooms, lol. | |

| I think you have too many personality points, Sugah. If I'm remembering right, last time, you were all fives across the board. I think most of my traits would be close to center too, in reality, except for outgoingness, I'd put that really low for me. I haven't thought about a house yet, but I'm sure I'll find something when the time comes. I have my sim ready. I just have to package and upload her. Should I wait until we have a separate questionaire thread or should we just keep putting everything here when we're ready? Do we need to post a screenshot of ourselves or do you think we'll be able to figure out who everyone is without? | |

| I may've missed a few posts, so forgive me if I am talking out of turn. Em, I will trim up my personality points when I tweak my Simself. Thank you for the heads up on that and I think you are right. I may've been 5s all the way across, personality wise. I agree & think it'd be best to start an entirely new thread for this project. Perhaps, called The La Femme Family Adventures or something. Hunter can decide where she thinks it'd be best to post our group project. - Quote :

I must've missed this "questionaire thread" subject. Is this just to share all our information and uploaded Simselves with one another so we don't have to dig to find it in here? Ulli, I love your Simself. You're a doll, dahling! I won't be able to get started til early next week. I have a hugely busy holiday weekend (should be in the shower right now, lol) and must create for a little Sugah's Place update early in the week (since I couldn't get to one this week, with Tgiving and all). I'm hoping to have Sugah ready for uploading and a house built for our La Femme fam by December 2nd or 3rd, if that's okay. I've gotten rather behind online (so if I owe anyone a post, PM or email, forgive me), but will do my best to be ready mid-week next. I hope I haven't missed anything. I know I've been a bit out of the loop lately.
