Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens ... bright copper kettles and warm, woolen mittens ... brown paper packages tied up with string ... these are a few of my favorite things.
Sorry, couldn't resist.
One of my absolute favorite things of all time is NY style pepperoni pizza. There is nothing better than the perfect, light, crispy dough of a NY style pizza pie with REAL mozzarella cheese and imported pepperoni. We had some while in Sarasota recently and we were blissful over the experience.
Anybody drooling like I am???
Having been raised on the east coast and growing up on that kind of pizza, it is one of the best, tastiest, most awesome foods to my taste buds. It's to die for, dahlings! Fuggedaboutit!

Well who wouldn't like THAT?
I do like New York Style - but I prefer a thicker crust. I do NOT like Chicago Style pizza - that's for sure.

Somewhere in the middle then, H? Between NY Style and Chicago Style (which is rather thick for me, too)?
I remember when one of my best friends (who was born and raised in Texas), first went to NJ/NY and tried NY Style pizza, she said she gagged from the ingredients. The cheese and pepperoni were so intensely rich, she choked on them! Now keep in mind, the majority of folks around these parts grow up on crappola like Dominos, Papa Johns and Pizza Hut. No offense to those of you who like that sort of pizza. I have to eat it myself, since there are no true NY Style Pizzerias around these parts, but still... If it isn't what you're used to (NY Style), it may not appeal to you...ESP if you grew up on the other stuff.
I've adjusted to the pizza available here. It's not great ... just acceptable to my palate. Even when they SAY they offer NY Style, it's still a pathetic facimile. Believe me.
Anyhoo ... I have some more fave things to share. Will try to do so this week for sure!
(PS Wish you and I could share a pizza and some vino one day, m'lady! That'd be AWESOME!)

Hey call it what it is.
I have referred to Pizza Hut as Crap in a Box for at least a decade. I won't even TELL you what I call Dominoes. Now I realize millions love them - but I think I overdid them in my early years and now I have to have REAL pizza made by people from the old country.
I have found a pizza joint here in K-Town called Tenutas. They're Italian - they're family run - they brought their recipe from the "old country" and have been in business about 50 years - THEY can make pizza. It's ALWAYS perfect and I always end up wounding myself eating it. One slice SHOULD be enough......but I always force myself to have a little more. Then I end up flat on my back, button undone and crying for the Pepcid AC. Okay -that's exaggerated, but I DO love it.

Pizza isn´t my favorite thing but if I have to choose one I would choose an Africana.
That is a pizza with chicken meat, pineapple, bananas and curry spice on it.
We have those Pizza Huts here in Sweden to. It´s not one of my favorite places.
I like pepperoni and Mozarella cheese and use it when I´m cooking.
I can recall that feeling of "ending up flat on my back, buttons undone and crying for a Pepcid AC" after a pizza

Ulli, I don't know how I missed your response. I'm sorry! I've had pizza with pineapple, ham and jalapenos ... but never with chicken, bananas and curry. That is freakin' WILD!
I've had to undo many a buttons/zipper upon eating my share of pizza. Believe me!
More of my favorite things:
The Marriott's private beach (on a little island you must take a boat to) in Aruba.
San Francisco on a sunny day
and
the Island of Kauai
Pics to come! (Photobucket isn't cooperating right now. Sigh)

This is one of my absolute favorite duets of all time.
Here's a clip of Stevie Wonder and Tony Bennett on "Tony Bennett's American Classic" (Tony's 80th birthday celebration). This was such a moving performance to me. I never grow tired of it. It gets better the more you listen to it. Definitely worth the three minute investment of your time. Enjoy!

Two awesome men - a very special occasion and a heartfelt performance.
HOW can one go wrong?
I feel so blessed to have seen Tony Bennett in concert. He is truly a class act. Stevie Wonder - I've been listening to the man since birth. They are both absolute legends in their own time and will be equally missed when they are gone.

I couldn't agree more with what you just said. I was blessed to see Tony twice in one year and couldn't have been more thrilled or grateful. Stevie Wonder has ALWAYS been a fave of mine, too.
