I think it's just the way of it, H.
I've helped moderate a few forums, as you know.
At one time, PTS forum was far busier than I could keep up with.
We had almost a dozen members or so who were very active and devoted.
That went on for awhile ... maybe a year or more ... not sure ... Then, all of a sudden the loyal members started to get busy with school, social lives & families.
A few lost interest in the Sims or simply didn't have time for Simming anymore.
Some had puter probs. Some simply disappeared after being extremely active for awhile.
It's hard to say, but I imagine when a person runs a regular website, it's much like that.
For awhile, they are all into it & passionate about it, but then, life pulls them in different directions.
You're right, though. We've lost quite a few good Sims sites and forums this past year.
And with the dawn of The Sims 3 upon us, who knows what will happen to the many remaining?
Since I have no interest in Sims 3 and am still loving Sims 2 and creating for the game, I, like you, hope to be around a long time.
Now, if I could just find a new, safe, home for Sugah's Place, I'll be feeling a lot better about it!
