| Aww. So much cuteness. Maura is adorable, and the whole family seems to be doing really well. I can't believe they're closing in on elderhood, already. | |

| Maura's cute and she has Maggie's hair. How did it take you over a dozen tries to get her? Did you just keep exiting without saving whenever the social worker brought a kid over that you didn't like? I don't think I'd have the patience to do it that many times. lol I look forward too seeing how this new little family grows together. | |

| Thank you, ladies. I'm having fun with this little family. I've gotten rather attached to them and am definitely going to try and see them thru for as long as possible. Em, I kept getting carp mouthed, big, pug nosed kids ... mostly boys. And I couldn't see Maggie and Megan with a son. The couple just screamed "we want a girl" to me. I saved the game about 5 Sim minutes before the blue van pulled up. So, when I didn't get the Sim I wanted, I just exited back to the neighborhood, then had my Sims re-live those 5 minutes prior to the social worker arriving over and over again. It was worth it. Maura is a doll baby and she just BELONGS with the Valentines. I knew it right away when I saw her hop out of the van. Here she is, a Capricorn (only 1 or 2 active points, extremely neat and very playful), doing the infamous SimEm slouch. Her predestined hobby is Cuisine. Having some fun (which she requires a LOT of)... I moved the Valentines into a new home. I didn't build it. I just gutted it completely, changed the floor plan, and have redone the whole thing. The ladies bank account has been built back up again. It was pretty empty by the time I finished doing a bit of renovating and redecorating. Here's the kitchen. I need to repair the counters. Was a bit confused by the mesh and wasn't sure where the green was going to end up. Looks hideous. Am gonna whiten it. The living/dining/kitchen area: I'm not done, as there is still much to do. I need to work on some better window treatments for them. I really wanted to personalize this abode, so most of the stuff you see, is my cc recolors. Maggie and Megan are both Double Agents. They are only about a week away from becoming elders, sad to say. This is what they're paying the nanny for. Sheesh. If I weren't so dang tired from a poor night's rest and keeping Hurricane Bay all day, I'd load up my game right now. Instead, I think I'll rest my weary head til hubby comes home. Stay tuned ... more to come! Added later @ 5:50pm cst: I just had to share this with you. Angelsways has some fun "clutter" meshes at her site. I needed something for the top of Megan and Maggie's dresser/sideboard, so I whipped this up just now. Check out the pile of little photos waiting to be framed or put in an album. Isn't that cool??? I'm going to do this over again, once I have some better images of the family. I just had to choose from my current Valentine album, which isn't that impressive thus far.

| Thank you both for stopping by and commenting on my little family. I'm glad you like the recolors, as the living room set is one of the offerings I've created for Sugah's update this week. The Valentine's remain extremely easy to tend to. Now, moreso than ever they seem even MORE low maintenance, probably because I've checked all the "slower decay" options possible, thru aspiration points they've gained (a FT addition). I have still not used any cheats ... not one time ... and am feeling pretty proud of myself and all the Valentine's accomplishments. Both Maggie and Megan are currently Elite Operatives in Intelligence. They bring in a nice little paycheck everyday and their bank account continues to grow. Here's the latest... Talk about your Kodak moment. Just look at Maura's blissful face in this snuggle pic! I love it! Her parents are currently staying young courtesy of the Elixer of Life. I am going to have to work on them gaining aspiration points to continue buying it, as I'm not quite ready for Megan and Maggie to become seniors yet. Maura has blossomed into a lovely teen. Does she look familar to any of you???In my mind, she looks like a dark skinned Meadow Thayer. Look at the shape of her eyes and face. What do you think? Maybe I'm imagining the resemblance... And here is Miss Maura, still doing the infamous SimEm slouch, as a teen. I have chosen Knowledge for her aspiration, as it just felt RIGHT for her. I haven't decided what her career choice will be, though she would benefit (hobby-wise, since it's Cuisine) from a job in Culinary or Science. Both require plenty of logic (which she has already) and cooking skills (which will help her gain hobby points). I need to get Sugah's Place updated, but should have some time to play later today before Bay arrives. OH! Almost forgot, check out the new curtains in the living room and Maura's room. It's a mesh by the talented LJ over at Sims Crossing. I really like it for single windows and will be using it often. :D | |

| I knew that's why it too you so many tries to get a child you liked for the Valentines. I just wasn't sure exactly how you were going about it. Have you ever thought of downloading default face replacements? I think Ari is using them to have better looking townies in her neighborhoods. I've found the downloads a little confusing though, with all of the sets I've looked at, the faces started to look the same. But it would be nice to see something other than the same old faces over and over again.
The house looks great! I love the custom photo sets. I'd like to try to make something like that for my sims sometime.
Maura is lovely as a teen! I think she does look like Meadow. Maybe they came from the same face template.

| Maura is beautiful! She does bear a resemblance to Meadow - they have very similar eyes. I use these. There are many creators who offer face templates. I've tried a couple, but like Selzi's best. And what's nice about them, is that you can use the ones you like, and leave not the ones you don't. So if you like some of Maxis' faces, you don't have to get defaults for them. | |

| What a lovely little home you've created for this beautiful, loving trio Sugah. Maura is a lovely child and looks so happy and content with her life. Like in real life - pictures of children that happy are just priceless. I HOPE one day I have pictures like that on my coffee and end tables. The scattered pictures and frame IS an awesome thing and I think I'll scoop that up myself. It's so nice finding items that you can personalize to your Sims and their homes. Thank you for sharing!!! AWESOME family Sugah. | |

| I'm so grateful for all the comments, compliments and feedback. I just love it!!!I THOUGHT Maura resembled Meadow Thayer. It may very well be the same face template, Em, as well as the very similar eyes. That's what I was thinking, too. Thank you for the comments on the Valentine's humble abode. The Bryony set is a new fave of mine. If you download the living room and decide you like the drapes and little dining room set, I would be happy to send them to you, via email. Ladies, Angelsways also has a framed, personal photo with photo album option, as well as the pile of pics one. It's really neat. She has quite a few goodies on her site I'm going to recolor. There's a handsome dining room set I have my eye on, too... I was going to suggest, if any of you would like to have the custom photo set for YOUR game, I'd be happy to do a personalized recolor for you. Also, if you see a CC room set you really like, but it does not come in the colors you are wanting and needing, I'm open to taking requests at this time. *Just post your needs, & the mesh (and screenshot) url here. I think I'm going to look into those face templates you use, Ari. Thank you for suggesting it, Em. It'd be nice to have some better looking faces (that don't require a ton of surgery, lol) in the hoods. I'm also wanting to know WHICH default skins and eyes you both use??? I've emptied out most of my old downloads and am slowly adding some back. | |

| I was thinking of asking if you would recolor some personalized sim photographs for me, since you mentioned doing a gift download for me and I'm still not sure what I might specifically need. I'll look through my photos. If I find some good ones, can I send them to you?
I'm using Loius/SimCribbling default skins, I forget which version I ended up with specifically. I think they were ones with "sexy feet." lol I'll can try to look them up sometime if you're really interested. I've been trying to edit them myself though, because I don't like the rough textures in some places and didn't like the extreme push up look on the ladies. I think I showed some pictures of what I was doing before. It's still a work in progress. The eyes I'm using are from Helaene. I downloaded them a long time ago and when I tried to see if there were default replacements later, I couldn't find them anywhere. So I found a tutorial and made them into defaults myself.

| Wow! You created your own defaults out of some of Helaene's eyes you liked? Hmmm... If no one over at MTS2 has done that with Yumedust's beautiful eyes yet, I might give that a whirl myself, Em. Do you remember which tutorial you used and how complicated it was? It's really neat that you took it upon yourself to do that. I'll look into Louis' skins. I remember you were doing some editing on them awhile back at PTS. - Quote :
- I'll look through my photos. If I find some good ones, can I send them to you?
Absolutely! For the framed pic, I'll need at least a 400x300 screenshot. For the smaller, clutter pile pics, just send six thumbnails. I'll resize everything to the mesh's specs myself. I'd be happy to do it for you, m'lady! Let me know what color frame you'd prefer, too. IRT - Megan, an active, Knowledge Sim Virgo, has been on a mission to gain body points lately. Since I'm keeping the Valentine's young compliments of the Elixer of Life and NOT using cheats, they're needing all the aspiration points they can earn. Here she is, workin' it. Go Megan, go! Lookin' good, lady! During her free time, she loves searching the constellations and for new planets. Here, she actually discovered one, which earned her a little extra spending moola. She promptly spent the cash on a lifetime supply of Rubik's Cubes ... another past time she enjoys thoroughly. Maggie is an arts and crafts fanatic. Here she is in the zone, creatin' a masterpiece in her pjs. The ladies are happy, successful and doing extremely well. BOTH have reached the top of the Intelligence career and are now Heads of the SCIA. Maggie has all of her bonus aspiration rewards chosen and fulfilled. Megan has a few more to go. The gypsy saw fit to deliver the genie's lamp to the Valentines, since they're doing so splendidly. (I put it in inventory, since they don't need any wishes for now.) Here's the old hag, sneaking away, post delivery. I just thought this was a neat shot. Lastly, Misti Kringle hung out for the day with the Valentine's. This is something you don't see everyday...a clown reading the newspaper on a park bench, curbside. I kinda gotta kick outta the lovely Misti myself. Something interesting I've discovered about Arbor Heights. The neighborhood is made up of mostly ALL females. I think there are only two or three male Sims in the entire area (not counting Townies, NPCs, etc., etc). I've been scoping out different love prospects for the lovely Maura. At first I thought she might go for Sophie Miguel, but there are a couple of adult Sims I have in mind for her. They might not work out either, as currently, they're both POPULARITY Sims. When I started creating families awhile back for this hood, I must've been on a Popularity kick or something. SHEESH! (Maura is a Knowledge Sim like one of her moms.) Who knows? Maybe I'll just create a super special mate fit to order for my lovely teen. Anyhoo, I'm rambling (as I'm prone to do). Maura is currently an A+ student and at the top of her teen Culinary career. Someday she aspires to be a Celebrity Chef and perhaps own her own restaurant. She is about 3 days away from adulthood and has never been kissed, so stay tuned... [Added later @ 11:15am ... I just discovered SpikesMinx has turned Yumedust's gorgeous eyes into defaults. So, I have already chosen my five, Em. Yeeha!]

| I don't remember how I made the defaults or what tutorial used. I think I extracted the textures from the eyes I liked in simpe and then imported them over the textures of another set of default replacements. I'm glad you found defaults of eyes that you liked, to save you the trouble.
I'll let you know about the pictures. I'll just have to decide who will get their own personalized photos first. I might have to send all screenshots though, unless I take new pictures, because I don't save my thumbnails. Did you say there was a version with and without the extra photographs laying on the table?
It looks like the ladies are having fun pursuing their hobbies! Good luck choosing the perfect match for Miss Maura!

I can use regular size screenshots, Em. They just will be VERY small when resized. As long as you chooses images that will not be hard to decipher or that become too compromised when shrunk down to very tiny pixels, we'll be good to go. No problem. Angelsways version without the extra photos has a photo album near it instead, if I am remembering correctly. It would still involve small images, though. Okay, I got to play quite a bit the past few days, I'm happy to say. I'm really enjoying the Valentines. I haven't had this much fun actually playing the game in awhile. When last I left off, I was torn about WHO Maura would choose as her lifemate. After a bit of deliberation, I decided to create someone exclusively for her. Meet Madison Adele. She is a playful Taurus, quite neat and active. Madi is a gamer. This is her mom, Madeleine Adele, also a Taurus, a gamer & a Madi. BOTH are Family Sims and absolutely cut out of the SAME cloth. The acorn truly doesn't fall very far from THIS tree, folks. Lovely, aren't they? Dueling Gamers One of the first neighbors to stroll by (luckily for me), was none other than Maggie Valentine. "I know we just met, but mind if I give your boobage a little squeeze?" "Oh, hell, why not? It's been awhile for me. Have it at, lady!" I haven't got many downloads in this game at all, so pickins are slim. Here's the Adele's depressing little abode, which I probably won't play much anyway. I'm gonna try and get them both outta there asap. Meanwhile, back at the Valentine abode, the ladies are doing even more splendidly than ever. Here are just a few shots of a "Day in the life of Maggie and Megan". The Boudoir Maggie: EGADS! We STILL haven't gotten to this pile of pics? Where's the freakin' photo album? I'll do it! Nerd alert! SUCCESS!!! Both are head of the SCIA. Congrats, ladies. You've made it to the top of your career! Maura and Madison have triple chem (of course, since I created Madi for Maura, lol). One day after I created Madison, Maura morphed into an adult. So, I used the agesimscheat on her Madi the same day. Here, as adults, Maura is blowing her future lifemate a smooch over lunch. Things continue to go swimmingly. The young love birds are now engaged and living with the Valentines. I built & decorated a lower level for them ... just a bedroom/sitting room combo and personal bath. I don't know why I still get a kick out of my Sims playing in the tub, but I DO! I let the always fabulous Megan and Maggie evolve into seniors last night. It just felt RIGHT. Still spectacular, aren't they? I haven't retired them from the head of the SCIA yet. They're still building up their already plump bank account and having the time of their lives. Tell me THIS goober doesn't look entirely too suspicious??? What's HE up to??? So far, except for aging Madison early, I have not used any cheats on this family. Maura, btw, is now a Restauranteur, which I believe is level 9 in the Culinary career. She's bringing in a hefty paycheck, too. Active Madison, aspires to be a Captain Hero. She's moving up the ladder of the Law Enforcement career, but has a way to catch up with her fiancee. I know this is a lot of screenshots, but I've been having such fun with this group of lovely ladies. Can't wait to return to them today, as I DO believe the next generation will be married and soon be adopting a wee one themselves! Stay tuned...

"Oh, hell, why not? It's been awhile for me. Have it at, lady!" OMG, Sugah! That made me laugh so much, I had to use 2 smilies for that quote. That's hilarious. The younger Madi was so cute during her short time as a teen. She and Maura make a cute couple. I like their super girly, cute pink and lavendar pad. I saw you posted some of these pictures in the "Basic Wear" thread, so I'm just going to add here that I think Maura's lavendar outfit and the elder Valentines' clothing are all really cute too!

I couldn't help myself, Em! Isn't that what it looks like? Like Maggie's goin' for Madeleine's boobage? Thank you for taking the time to respond. I always appreciate the feedback. I love it! IRT - I didn't get to play yesterday, as I was busy creating for Sugah's and a little gift for The Corner forum, then had Miss Bay from 5pm thru 10pm last night. I am trying to get all my ducks in a row for this week's update, which will happen on Saturday, if all goes well. So far, I've got all the meshes zipped up with the room sets and the pics taken. Next, I need to get pics of the two Sim models I whipped up yesterday. They turned out fairly decent, but I'm not near as good at creating beauties as Ari and Z are. The rooms I am pretty happy with, however! Next comes the organizing, uploading and all the html. With the trip to Austin this afternoon thru tomorrow night, I'm still hoping for a noonish update on the 25th. Here's a screenshot of "Love, Harmony and Cats" which I submitted to The Corner last night. The set comes with: bed & bedding, 2 deco sets, 1 shelf, lamp, night stand, 4 paintings, 2 floors, & 2 walls (darker carpet not shown - paintings cloned from base game Lone Daisy). Anyone who is interested in Love, Harmony and Cats can learn more about it here. Enjoy!

Absolute hogwash. Your Madi duo is absolutely GORGEOUS!! Both mother and daughter are stunners! They would make a fantastic addition to the complete model section at Sugah's! And I'm not saying that just to butter your croissant. Very beautiful ladies with nice, soft features. I sure hope you give them a shot!! I love your new set, too. Ari honey, you can butter my croissant anytime, baby! Thank you so much for your compliment on Madeleine and Madison. I hadn't thought about offering them at Sugah's. Don't even know if they are "Sugafied" as Z would say! Madison is actually the teen version of Madeleine, I believe. They're the same Sim, actually. I just tweaked her a little differently.
I'm glad you like the Love, Harmony and Cats set, too. Thank you!

| Well, either way, they are quite lovely. I forgot to answer your earlier question. I use Louis skin defaults (tried many others and always go back to Louis), but I have some geneticized townie friendly ephemera blends that I use for variety - so townies and new babies can draw from either skin set. I use Lovebottle eyes as my defaults, but have townie friendly Yumedust eyes. Forgive me for not posting all the links, but I did that in one of my posts last week, which you can find here | |

I appreciate your feedback, as always. (Are the Louis defaults the ones that we had issues with awhile back with the files attaching themselves in the Sims 2 Pks? I can't remember...)

| I've spent some time with the Curious brothers lately, since they were so kind to model for my sci fi geek male clothing line this week. They deserve a life. :D I'd forgotten what a soft spot I have for those boys and how much I enjoy my time with them. As most of you who have spent time in Strangetown knows, when their story first begins, Pascal is pregnant with an alien child. If you send his brother, Vidcund, up to stargaze in the first few minutes of the game, he, too, gets abducted and returns home alien impregnated. Here are a few screenshots of the Curious brothers during my first few days spent with them. Pascal is not enjoying labor, evidently. Brother Vidcund enjoys spending time with his new niece, Xena. (I think that's what her name is. Duh.) Uh oh! Your turn to go for a space ride, V. Hang on, darlin'! A not-so-smooth landing ... Ouch! Vidcund returns home with child. He seems to be lovin' his pregnancy. Okay, maybe not... Xena grows into a toddler. Here she is with her Uncle Lazlo, who's a real hoot. It's chaos in this household, people. V gave birth to TWINS! I almost spit two bricks when I saw that. Xena had barely morphed into a toddler and I had two infants to tend to! EGADS! There names are ... ummm ... Yara (F) and something that starts with a Z for the male infant. lol I'm not using any cheats, so I decided to call for a nanny, maid and gardener to help out. It's STILL freakin' insane in that household with three little ones and three grown men. I am not sure how well trained the kids will be once they grow into children. I haven't even begun to work on Xena's skills. She is barely just walking and talking. OY VEY! It's been a long time since I've had so much craziness going on in my game at one time, but I'm lovin' the challenge. Am going to load up the game til I get tired, and will post more of the Curious Bros adventures upon my return from Houston. Good night, all. Happy Simming! | |

| Ah, my precious Lazlo. My all time favorite default sim. Isn't he hilarious? I just love him to pieces. And I love him in that layered tee. Lots of craziness, indeed. Almost makes me miss my sims. I haven't seen the Curious bros. in awhile. In answer to your question about the Louis defaults (sorry so late on that) - yes and no. The Lin Ed Louis defaults are the ones you have to download a separate file to tell the game the skins are default. Why on earth the creator did them this way is beyond me. I've never seen any other default skins that did that. But those are the ones that have that extra file attaching itself to your lots when you package them up. There is another set of Louis defaults (not the Lin Ed ones) that are just the skins and don't attach to your lots. You can find them here | |
