Thank you. Yes, you can pretend to wash clothes - Since Sims 2 does not have that feature like Sims 3. It is a community place to go and meet friends and watch TV or play video games. I wanted a neighborhood that had 'real' type places for my Sims to hang out. Some of them - like the bank are more for show (just a place to meet new friends) than actual functioning places.

Yes I build also Real type places for my Sims, it looks more real/fun if evry thing exists in a neighborhood like in the real world

and the wash place for clods looks fun

Oh, I have been negligent and missed out on some real goodies.
