| * Feel free to start your own thread, so you can keep us up on what's new in your Sims world as often as you'd like. * I've recently created a new log in so I could play a whole, fresh new game. I always forget how quickly the game loads when it's not bogged down with thousands of downloads & other stuff. Woah! I love it! I also had forgotten how many hacks and items we depend on to make gameplay more enjoyable. For example, I can't live without the No Blur Censor, Christianluv's Clothing Rack, Marriage Last Name Chooser, The No Kick TrashCan Patch, some decent walls, hair, clothing & Maxis recolors (amongst other things). Anyhoo, I've been loading up my game late at night & playing til I get sleepy. Here's what I've been up to ... - Zane & Paige Kennedy -...siblings but complete opposites... Zane is an Aries, a Romance Sim & in Oceanography Paige is a Virgo & a Knowledge Sim & in Intelligence They live at 3 Water's Edge Road Z, I have no doubt you'll recognized Zane. He is no other than your Carlos! The only thing I changed about him was the color of his eyes & skintone. I created his sister, Paige, just by clicking on the female icon! Voila! Sibs that resemble one another. The house I am renovating and decorating for them isn't as easily navigable as I'd like, but I didn't feel like building one last night. Decorating is slow going, as I'm not using the money cheat. They are as different as night and day and have very little to talk about in common. So far, their relationship has been rather strained and challenging. They're not enjoying eachother's company much. Since I had intended for them to be complete opposites, it makes it far more realistic that they get one one another's nerves more often than not! They have very little skills currently and have been focused on increasing them to get promotions. Currently, they live on mac & cheese, lunch meat sandwiches & cereal AND they have only a few dollars remaining in their bank account, after buying only the necessities for their humble abode. Let the fun begin!!! | |

| They're lovely. I love the shape of Paige's mouth. It's funny that they're complete opposites. I bet it makes it more fun, though, because like you said - it's more realistic that way. | |

| Oh my dear Sugah, how fun is that! I certainly did recognize Carlos, I love his new look! The new skintone and eyes look gorgeous! LOL! I do that quite often as a matter fact, click the Female button to see how my male Sims will look or vice-versa see how my female Sims will look as males! It's a lot of fun and I have come up with some KOOL Sims! I'm glad you are having fun my dear, and you are right the game does load up VERY fast when not bogged down with a lot of CC, lol! | |

| You know I've loaded up my game a half dozen times so far with my new log in, and I STILL can't get over how fast the dang thing fires up! It's awesome! ~*~ I've been waiting til too late to start playing my Sims, so I haven't accomplished much this past week. I start falling asleep at my puter! This is the humble abode that sibs Zane and Paige Kennedy reside in. Since this snapshot was taken, Zane has made a wish for wealth. So, the siblings have come into some moola and can begin revamping/redecorating the place. And speaking of coming into money (via the FT genie), here is a sack of Simoleons falling from the sky. I just happened to capture it at the exact moment it was dropping! Prior to moving Zane and Paige into the hood, I created this Sim using one of the original Maxis Sims in the CAS bin. This is Hallie Calista (whose name I love for some reason, lol). It's not a very good pic of her, but it was late and I was tired. When I put Zane in the neighborhood, she is who I had in mind for him. I am not happy with either of their abodes. I believe they came with the FT EP, as they all both called "newbie" houses. I don't think I downloaded them from anywhere... Anyhoo, next time I load up, I may move each fam into another abode or simply break down and build them a couple of simple, easy to navigate homes. (I don't care how good looking or charming a house is. If it's navigation UNFRIENDLY, I normally grow to HATE it!). I need some help and was wondering if someone might have a suggestion. The precious ensemble Paige is wearing has gaps in it. Take a look. Does anyone know how to repair it? I doubt it's just a matter of taking a look at the mesh and filling anything in. I'm open for suggestions. More to come soon, hopefully... | |

| I've been enjoying Moonlit Island, inhabited exclusively by Zane & Paige Kennedy (sibs) and Hallie Calista thus far. Here's the latest... I was unhappy with the little newbie homes I moved the above Sims into. So, I cleared them out and have put them in some really neat downloaded Sims abodes I found online awhile back. (Don't ask me where, lol.) This is the new home of Hallie Calista on Water's Edge Road. She's doing very well in the Political career. I think she received a huge bonus awhile ago, which is why she's been able to do some major decorating. (I changed the exterior wall paint - created a few soft stucco exterior walls - and added landscaping. Since this pic, she's got a Continental in the driveway, too.) I usually have to gut most of the walls out and redo them, in addition to cleaning out everything inside the place from walls to Maxis original crappola. Does this place not have the coolest roof? Love the little square frameless windows, too. The living room Looking into the recreation room and bath from the main entry way (you can see the reflection of the living room in the wall mirrors she has up in her rec room) Hallie's kitchen (I am thinking of changing those pics out to something a bit softer) Looking into the master bedroom and kitchen from the living area (might change the bedroom pics out for something softer, too) Looking towards the living area from the master bedroom Hallie and Zane (triple chem) are now engaged and living together. They are both in perma platinum because the genie paid them each a visit (when they lived apart). They both wished for 'peace of mind'. Some yumminess A friendly, intimate game of chess Hallie is currently a Judge and I believe Zane is a Protector of Whales (don't quote me on his). I'm about to load up my game. I first need to create a future mate for Paige. Then, I am going to work on Paige's new abode at some point. It needs to be gutted and cleared out, then redone. In addition to giving Paige's home a makeover and creating a love interest for her, I am going to return to Hallie and Zane's to have them begin a little family. So, stay tuned, my friends... What's going on in your game lately??? | |

| That is the cutest little house EVER! AND your walls and art inside are just exquisite Sugah. I've been doing that a long time with the separate log-ins - I'd die without doing that. I know what you mean about how quickly the game fires up. on the house - I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO want it!!! | |

| Zane and Paige are cute sims. I love their eyes and coloration. That's neat that you made them total opposites. How has that been working out? Cute houses! The one with the wavy roof is neat. I wonder how they did that. I don't know about the funny thing with her pant legs. You could try filling in the alpha and see if that makes a difference. It might not, because it might be a problem with the mesh, but I wouldn't think there would be actual legs under the pant mesh if that was the case. Do you know what I mean? I'd say that's an intimate game. They must be playing strip chess. There's nothing happening in my game lately. I don't remember when I last had a chance to load it up. I've never tried the separate log ins. I don't think my laptop has the space for that. I've considered using the anygame starter for that, but I'm not sure I'm up to the task of sorting all the downloads I need or would want in each version of the game. | |

| I appreciate you three taking the time to stop by this thread and make comments. Thank you all, kindly. Hunter, I will try to find out where I downloaded the house from when I load up my game in a bit. Remember, it probably won't look TOO much like the one you see here, except for the exterior shape of it. I always repaint/repaper, gut some of the walls out and renovate the homes I download to my liking. It's very rare I keep them "as is" upon downloading. Thank you for your compliments on my walls & art. Except for the bathroom wall (which is part of my "Neutralized" set here), the rest were spawned from Acorn Hollow (part of my "Sensational Stripes" set here). I took the wall and plucked misc. colors out of it, to create both striped and solid walls that'd coordinate with it (which you see in the living area, rec room and bedroom). Incidently, I wasn't going to bring it up, but since you and Z BOTH mentioned it, when I posted that screenshot of Zane and Hallie in their skivvies playing an intimate game of chess, I thought IMMEDIATELY of you and The Krautinator. Great minds and all that, dahling. Z, I definitely like this little abode better than their original one, too. It was not only too small, but I didn't like the floor plan and it was NOT navigator friendly. If a house isn't practical, fuggedaboutit!!! I prefer smaller, more modest homes, actually. My Sims don't normally require much more than what you see here ... or perhaps a wee bit bigger. Thank you for your compliments on my decor. I might change out the pics just to see how the new one I created looks. You're right though. The current ones do add a little splash of color to the bedroom and kitchen. Em, it was actually quite fun watching the Sims, opposite as they are, get on eachother's nerves more often than not. They FINALLY found some common ground (interests: food, travel, politics & entertainment). It took them awhile to find things they shared a love for...plus they're so dang different from one another. I have no idea how they did the wavy roof. It seems rather complex, just by the way the roof goes back on (after being pulled down) & how the paint goes on different portions of the abode (hard to explain). I'd have to take several screenshots in a row of what I'm talking about to show you. Anyhoo...I noticed in Paige's ensemble that not only are there holes in the back of her legs when she is NOT standing straight up, but also, in her shirt when she is sitting as well. I took some pics a couple of nights ago and will post them soon. It's too bad, cause it's a cute outfit. I'll check out the ALPHA when next in BodyShop, like you suggested, just in case. Again, I thank you, my friends, for your positive feedback and compliments. They are ALWAYS appreciated. Will post more soon, with updates of what's going on in Paige's life these days... | |

| The little house is SOOO cute! I love wallpaper in the bathroom. And that chess game - ooh la la! I actually played recently. I loved my Azura Topaz so much that I built her a little house on the beach. I've never had a beach lot before and thought I'd try it out. And you read right - I built and decorated a house!! I was too dumb to take pictures, of course, and now that my dang disc is cracked, I don't know how long it will be before I can play again :( Here's the only snapshot I have, of Azura's first baby, a little boy named Azuron. That's her handsome hubby in the background, Chase. His name was originally Abijheet - but that was NOT gonna do it! So I stole Em's baby's name, lol, because I like it. :) | |

WOAH! I wished you would've warned me that was coming. I just about fell outta my chair, lady! Well? What do you think? Are you pleased with it? Do you like the way it turned out? Azura is gorgeous. I really love her looks. And I can't believe her baby! WOW!!! Isn't that something? How stunning! Chase is scrumptious (love the name, of course), too. Maxis was on crack to have names like Abijheet (and Goopy) in the game. EGADS! Who could blame you for changing it??? Thank you for sharing your new family with us, Ari. I enjoyed seeing the screenshot and learning about them. It's cool to learn you've actually been playing your game again...ME, TOO, finally!!! I sure hope you get to play again, SOON, my friend. Oh, almost forgot. Thank you for your compliment on my wall (It's called Fluidity) in the bathroom. That whole Neutralized set looks pretty decent in game, if I do say so myself!

| What a pretty little family, Ari. That skintone is so neat, especially how it looks on the baby. I think the name Chase suits him better. He's to cute to be an Abijheet (which I can't even spell on the first try.) Not that I've ever met an Abijheet before, but the name just makes me think of the default townie who is not that cute. | |

| Subject: Paige Kennedy & Fox Donovan March 11th 2009, 11:56 am | |
| One night last week, I was able to play for awhile. I found a Sim in my CAS bin that I have liked since I first "met" him. In his previous life, this was Zac Primo of our WNW Project over at PTS...a Pleasure Sim & a Sagittarius, I believe. Now, in my Moonlit Island hood, he is Fox Donovan...a Family Sim & a Cancer. Yummy, isn't he? Wears that Aerosmith shirt well ... the gray goes with his eyes nicely, I think. He's in the Architectural Career while Paige excels in Intelligence. I was please when Paige was one of the locals who came to meet him the first day he moved in. They hit it off right away. Fox tried to impress her with a batch of burned grilled cheese sandwiches. Paige doesn't seem to mind and the constant dialog between them continues. (Check out that dang gap in the back of her jeans. Sigh) Inevitably, over a period of a few days, handsome Fox makes his move. Paige has goosebumps from her head down to her toes. I played a bit last night, before I practically fell asleep at the puter ( again). Fox and Paige are now engaged & will be wed next time I load up my game. I would like them to start a family soon, so stay tuned, my friends... | |

I'd love it if you'd start your own thread, now that you're getting back to playing again. That'd be awesome. I miss the days when we were all sharing our Sim families (OUaT, eg) and doing Sim projects together. We had so much fun!

| I don't know if anyone has seen my most recent Sim antics post. I believe it got buried a page or so ago. Anyhoo, Hunter, I suck at thinking up challenges. Some are definitely more desirable to me than others. I am all about having a good old time with it, rather than wanting to tear my hair out over a challenge. Some have so many restrictions and rules, they make my head spin. I almost feel smothered just THINKING about doing a few of them. (Your Sim can never play chess on a Tuesday. They can't eat jello in front of another Sim. Your Sim must almost starve and pee all over himself daily, til you feel like you can't stand another second torturing the poor thing. They can, by no means, kiss their spouse unless he is being chased by bees gone amuck.) Well, you get the picture...some of the restrictions are enough to make me want to strangle the creator of the challenge. I think there's a bit of the sadist in some of them! When a challenge becomes more torturous than fun, I'm OUT!!! That being said, Thyme 2 Sim has almost two dozen challenges listed at their forum. We could look through a few and see if we can get any ideas for our own, here. There are game play challenges, photo challenges, construction challenges, and many other kinds. You can find them in the Challenge Corner over at T2S, if anyone would like to read 'em over. Just a thought... | |

Thank you, Em. They're pretty easy to deal with, too. I have their little place set up to accomodate a child or two and am looking forward to that next. - Quote :

I'm glad I could make you laugh, my friend. The funny thing is, what I described is NOT too far from the actual rules of some of the more insane, over the top challenges. Scary, but true.

OMG! I think I just about busted my gut laughing at this! I vote we try it! Sounds like fun! Incidentally, I was trying the Poverty Challenge again recently, with my new sim Kendall. But I'll post about that in my own thread some other time. I've always enjoyed the challenges we've done together as a group and shared pics of. But I hate building/decorating challenges, and don't care to do a photo challenge. I love playing challenges, but I like the hard ones, otherwise I get bored. But I'm game if you guys have one you're thinking about starting. Oh! I have just the challenge for you, Sugah! It's WAY more fun than the poverty challenge. And it's also more fun than sucking tongues with a baboon. It's called the Orphanage Challenge And yes I tried it, and yes I had fun with it. I'd be willing to do it again if anyone wants to join me, lol!! And yes, I'm crazy. I enjoy the self flagellating nature of tough challenges.

| Oh, I so want to do that challenge, Ari. I actually loaded up my game last night after I read that and started spawning orphans. But I messed up and somehow spawned an extra toddler. Now I'm not sure what to do. I don't need to make it harder from the get go. And I'm not sure how I'll find time to play, since they should like they're going to be a high maintenance household. I'm kind of afraid that many sims living on one lot is going to bring my laptop to a screeching halt. lol I really want to try it though. lol | |
