I agree with you about Travolta. Not only is he an excellent actor (he's come a long way from Vinnie Barbarino) but a truly good family man, too.
It breaks my heart to hear of anyone losing a child. It is every parents' nightmare to the billionth power.

Thank you for featuring my Sugah's Place update in the newsletter. I am grateful for your wonderful, ongoing generousity and support, Hunter.
The image Z did of Ed's smooching love birds is fabulous.

YOU ROCK!!! Great job on the second edition of BNL.

Loving Kiss Loving

The newsletter looks great!

It was kind of you to give a special spot to the Travolta family. I've been grieving with them. I've loved John forever, enjoyed him in absolutely everything he's ever done. And he does seem very down to earth and family oriented. I am so sorry for their loss.

I love your ideas Ed. Yup However, now that I have knowledge of the site - I'll be spending more time in the kitchen trying some recipes out. I, My Friend, do NOT need ANOTHER obsession. Nope

I thank you and am glad you like the Newsletter.

Loving Hunter

PostSubject: Sugah & Ari   Sat Jan 10, 2009 2:41 am

Ladies -

I could not NOT post something about the loss of Jett Travolta. John Travolta is just such a man to be admired. I can tell you the day I fell in love with that man. It was many years ago on Oprah - Jett must have just been a toddler at the time. Now I'd always liked John Travolta as an actor - but when I saw him on Oprah - he got my HEART. Oprah was asking him about his family and behind the them on a screen - they showed a picture of Jett. John looked over his shoulder - saw the picture and his eyes LIT UP. I mean this mans wattage went from 50 to 100 in .001 seconds flat. And he said with delight in his voice, "That's my boy!".

That was it for me. THAT is something (one of the things) you can measure a man by - his love for his family. And not once SINCE has he or his wife Kelly shown anything BUT amazing love and dedication to their family.

Their loss is simply incomprehensible. When I heard the news - I literally burst into tears. I remembered that day, many years ago when I saw John on Oprah - and my heart just broke.

Sugah and Ari - Your words on the matter affirm that what I felt and what I did was right. I always swore to keep the forum "light" and a fun place to be - but as a fan of a MAN who I think deserves looking up to - I had to express my feelings somehow. Thank you for allowing me to do it here.

My hope is that with their family, their friends and their fans - that they one day will heal. I know they will always have that void, but their hearts will be filled of lovely memories that that boy had to have brought them.

My dear Hunter, OMG! From the moment I found out about John Travolta's and Kelly Preston's loss I was stunned! I admire John Travolta for the tremendous actor he is, and I respect him and Kelly for the marvelous couple they are. When I saw the picture of the 4 of them on Yahoo, I literally started to cry. Seeing Kelly's joyous expression at being surrounded by her beautiful children... and the pictures of John by a lake with his son... just choked me up even more! It was plainly obvious the adoration he held for his son...

Their loss is horrible, devastating, and I feel for both John and Kelly and for their little daughter. It will be a horrible pain that will never go away... I know from loosing my beautiful mother, and from almost loosing my baby girl...

Thank-you for honoring them like that in your beautiful newsletter my dear! BIG APPLAUSE!

I was able to see THE WHOLE issue!!!! Thank-you for the new set up!!! It looks AMAZING!! BRAVO! BRAVO!

I love the look, and the colors! It was wonderful to see dear Sugah's FABULOUS update showcased on it! And our favorite KISS pic of Michael and Vittorine looked fantastic also! I'll have to go check out Ed's cooking site! :D

Thank-you so much my friend for mentioning my new Sim Video section! You are such a wonderful and special lady for giving us a home here and for announcing our updates on your beautiful newsletter!! Send Flowers

I really felt bad for John Travolta. Losing a son at that age. It must be incredibly hard.

We should all say a prayer for the family. (Yes, I'm a Roman Catholic.)

You did a good job making that the first and foremost article you see, Hunter.

I've only seen two John Travolta movies, Face Off, with Nicolas Cage and Hairspray. But, he has come a long way with his career from playing, Vinnie Bararino.

I already have, Ed, many of them. I'm not a terribly religious person, but I do occasionally pray.

I saw that episode of Oprah, too, Hunter. I was immediately struck by his feelings for his family. He was genuinely delighted to see the picture of his baby on the big screen behind him. You can't fake that kind of love. You can't act it. And I cried all the harder when I remembered that.

I've been a long time fan of John's. I loved Welcome Back, Kotter. Saturday Night Fever, Face/Off, Broken Arrow, Michael, Phenomenon, Grease, and many more - all great performances. He is an upstanding role model both as an actor and a human being. I hurt so much for that family, and I'm still crying for their loss. It was really nice of you to remember Jett. I wasn't expecting it, but it was nice to share my feelings with someone else who is grieving for their family.

The Oprah-Travolta story you shared was so incredibly heartwarming, Hunter. It sounded familiar, so I am wondering if I didn't see a part of that episode myself.

You mirror my very thoughts when you said:

I couldn't agree with you more, as I have ALWAYS felt that way throughout my adulthood. We are absolutely on the same page with that mentality.

Give Hand

Very touching cover page to your newsletter Hunter. It's a loss that I could not comprehend. I'm glad you chose to use your forum to share your feelings on what happened. I realize it's a Sims site but it shows your compassion for humans - and I appreciate that.

The newsletter as a whole was a very easy and pleasant read. I look forward to many more.

Bravo!
