| It's awfully cute Sugah. I hope you can figure out the issue with the curving! I hate that when you find meshes you want to use and there's an issue with them. _________________ "I'm gonna smile because I deserve to........"

| Thank you for your input, ladies. I'm in agreeance with you, Ari. I'm thinking it might be challenging to find a pattern for the texture that DOESN'T warp. I'm going to use a floral, abstract or batik fabric next time and see what happens. It's frustrating, Hunter. That's for sure. This next issue is really perplexing. I mentioned Kate's Sanctuary set. Here's what her original set looks like. This is the weirdest thing. I'm doing everything correctly, recoloring-wise. However, TWICE now I've tried and TWICE the arm chair recolors just fine, but the couch and loveseat do NOT. I don't understand why. They don't seem any different than the arm chair, except their sizes differ, of course. Anyhoo, this is my little Sanctuary Batik arm chair with a recolor of Kate's Statement Artwork (found here). Sanctuary Batik Close up of the Batik chairs. Again, I'm bummed, cause I really like this set. This time, I have NO IDEA why the couch and loveseat aren't recoloring like the arm chair is. I feel like I'm in some freaky SimPE Twilight Zone. Oh well. I guess I'll go join Snacky for awhile. He's doing a Sudoku puzzle. I promised him I'd sit with him and do a crossword puzzle, as I hate numbers. Thanks again for your comments, my friends. I'm going to try something else later tonight. WISH ME LUCK!!! _________________ Specializing in CC recolors, custom walls, prime real estate, Sim models and so much more. ... Always free - Updated weekly ...

Thank you, my dear friend. You are most generous and kind, as always. I'm glad you like what I've done so far. I still have a way to go, of course. One day, I'll be able to take requests for cc recolors and would be thrilled to do special items just for your Basic photo shoots!
I've been thinking of contacting Kate with my Sanctuary couch/loveseat problem, even though I know she's extremely busy running Parsimonious. Still, it might be worth a try... (Although I recently learned she is somewhat out of commission, as she is moving to a new country, FYI!)
I found some really neat living room sets by Adele, who allows her meshes to be included with recolors, and am going to try a few things today. Except for a little beach bungalow, I have NOTHING for this week's Sugah's Place update. Sigh._________________ Specializing in CC recolors, custom walls, prime real estate, Sim models and so much more. ... Always free - Updated weekly ... |

 | Subject: Adele's Amelia Living Room Set Wed Mar 25, 2009 12:12 pm | |
| I've been working on recoloring Adele's beautiful Amelia living room set, which she offers at MTS2 here. Here is what I've come up with so far. (Again, please forgive the walls and flooring. I only have Maxis stuff currently.) Amelia in Cinnamon Close up of couch and art Details of the pillows I've done the furniture and painting, so far, but still need to do the coffee & end tables. I'm not crazy about this painting, as I don't think it coordinates very well with my Cinnamon set. What do you think??? (The dark, bold wall is throwing me off, as I know it's taking away from the living room set. I definitely need to make some coordinating walls/floors for this, if I offer it at Sugah's this weekend!!!) Added later @ 5:50pm:Okay, I went ahead and created a new painting and a wall & floor for this set. I tried to recolor the coffee table, but couldn't get it to pull up in SimPE. Not sure why... Anyhoo, I've change the name of the set. It didn't look "cinnamon-y" enough. Amelia Softly Burnt Sienna set Close up of painting Now, what I'd like to know is... Do you feel it is okay to offer at Sugah's Place?I think it turned out fairly well, even though I wish I could've recolored the coffee table to match. Thank you for your input, as always. I appreciate it greatly. Stay tuned for more recoloring adventures... _________________ Specializing in CC recolors, custom walls, prime real estate, Sim models and so much more. ... | I think you can offer ALL of it Sugah!!! I WANT!!!! Here's the thing Girlfriend - you've done a really fine job with the items you've done........and you've only just begun!!! I'm always pleased with the quality of the content you bring to us. (So pleased with this new stuff in face that I would like it for photoshoots) And you know what I think of imperfections on our earlier trials - show them so that others can watch your progress. Imperfections, whether it be with our looks, things we say - things we create are unique to us. That makes them beautiful. Honestly. _________________ "I'm gonna smile because I deserve to........"

| That's fantastic!! You did an incredible job. I have the set, I may download it myself when you offer it. Love to get my hands on the texture you used on the pillows. Once again, you did fantastic. |

| I appreciate your words of support, encouragement AND your very generous compliments, H & E... MUCHO. Hunter, you're right. Sharing the imperfect results from the beginning stages of new endeavors, allows progress to be seen as time passes. Well said, dear lady! (And I've no doubt you'll be seeing plenty of imperfections along the way as I trudge through my recoloring adventures! ) Ed, I found the texture I used for the pillow by doing a Google search. I put in "Decorator Pillows" and quite a few pretty ones pulled up. I'm so glad you like what I've done so far, my friends. I managed to finish another set last night, using Kate's Very Tikki living room meshes AND Sandy's (at ATS2) little decorator plants. I think the set turned out rather well and will be offering it at Sugah's Place tomorrow. I need to load up BodyShop and create a Sim for the update, as so far, I only have a beach bungalow and two cc recolors (living room sets). I'm sorely lacking in offerings this weekend and need to get rollin' on creating some more ASAP. Thank you, again, Hunter and Ed, for your positive feedback. I am most grateful, dahlings. _________________ Specializing in CC recolors, custom walls, prime real estate, Sim models and so much more. ... Always free - Updated weekly ... |

| Thank you, both, so very much, for your generous words. I appreciate you all the lovely feedback more than you know. Stay tuned for many more custom content recolors! PS. Z, I'll double check to make sure I recolored the correct package. It's entirely possible I overlooked something important like that! _________________ Specializing in CC recolors, custom walls, prime real estate, Sim models and so much more. ... | Subject: Simply Styling's Lvg Room 8 - Mesh by Jope Sat Mar 28, 2009 12:47 am | |
| Here's my current work in progress. I really should be in bed, but I wanted to share this with you before I hit the sack. It's a mesh from Simply Styling by Jope. They share their meshes freely there and have some awesome ones. The couch & pillows are mine, as are the candles and painting. However, the couch frame is not mine, nor is anything else (vases, eg). I didn't realize the couch frame was a fabric-like texture. Thought it was metal at first glance. Will have to change that, of course. I have some work to do on it, but thought I'd post what I've accomplished thus far. What think you, my friends? I hope you all had a good Friday evening. Will check in tomorrow morning. Good night, all. _________________ Specializing in CC recolors, custom walls, prime real estate, Sim models and so much more. ... Always free - Updated weekly ... |

| Oh, my dear, you are too good to me! Thank you, again, for your lovely, encouraging compliments. They mean SO MUCH. | Quote: | | You have SO "Got It" when it comes to recoloring custom meshes - that set is FREAKING AWESOME AND I REALLY MUST HAVE IT........ASAP!!!! |
I'm so glad you like it. I have another painting (or two) that I created to compliment the couch fabric and will post the screenshot(s) soon. And...I still need to do my own couch texture (the base is not mine - just the cushions and pillows, as I said), as the current one is Jope's, I believe. There's also a chair that comes with it that I'd like to recolor as part of the set, too.
That being said, when it is all done, I would love to offer it here, as a Basic exclusive gift from Sugah to you! _________________ Specializing in CC recolors, custom walls, prime real estate, Sim models and so much more. ... Always free - Updated weekly ... |

| One thing I'm learning about this recoloring business, is that not everything is freakin' cut and dry. I've been playing with a Rosesims mesh. It's a rather modern looking lvg room set. I can NOT figure out how to change the base of an abstract little recliner. It just ain't happenin'! No matter. I'm not sure about that particular piece of furniture anyway, as when Sims are in the reclining position, it doesn't look quite right (not shown here, btw). Anyhoo, here's what I've got so far. I'm calling this one "Villeneuve in Canary" Close up of Mark Chagall painting (Jope mesh) entitled Amoureux 1956 I am not sure about how well the painting coordinates with this set (it would go better with my previous black and blue Jope lvg room), but I DO like it!!! Here's the original living room by Rose. The arrow is pointing to the recliner with the base I can not seem to recolor. Weird stuff. Oh well. C'est la vie. I'm having quite a bit of fun, even WITH the issues I run into rather frequently. Can you tell? Hubby is due home with some sandwiches from The Great Outdoors. We're hanging around the house today, since it's so chilly and windy today. Might even order in for dinner, light the fireplace later and just settle in with a movie (dvd). Sounds cozy, huh? _________________ Specializing in CC recolors, custom walls, prime real estate, Sim models and so much more. ... Always free - Updated weekly ... |
